Thomas Djiwandono, Financial Sector Member of the Prabowo-Gibran Government Transition Task Force, confirmed that he and the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, along with her team, have been working closely for two months.
This collaboration was highlighted during the press conference on the Fundamental Economic Conditions and the 2025 State Budget, Monday (June 24, 2024).
“I and the economic team have been working closely with the Ministry of Finance, the Minister, Deputy Ministers, Directors General, and so forth for nearly two months now, so this is actually a natural and synchronized process,” he stated on Monday (June 24, 2024).
He also mentioned that last week there was a meeting with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and President-elect Prabowo Subianto. Thomas emphasized that there is no difference between Jokowi and Prabowo.
“So, I must underline that there is no gap between President Jokowi and President-elect Prabowo,” he firmly stated.
Economic Coordinating Minister Airlangga confirmed that there had been a meeting with President Jokowi and President-elect Prabowo Subianto, as well as Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Sufmi Dasco. Fundamentally, both parties have agreed on the main outlines of the 2025 State Budget.
“It has been clarified regarding the economic conditions and related to the 2025 State Budget. Basically, they have understood and agreed on the matters discussed in the meeting,” he said.
One of the agreed points is the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, which has been allocated Rp 71 trillion in the 2025 State Budget.
