Recently, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, attended the 79th Bhayangkara Day commemoration ceremony before embarking on his official state visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Donning a brown safari suit and black peci, Prabowo was seen at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta around 3:15 PM Western Indonesia Time where he was bid farewell by high-ranking officials. Accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and other key figures from both Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, President Prabowo watched military cadets rehearsing a marching band performance with Defense Minister Sjafrie before boarding the presidential aircraft at 3:30 PM.
The purpose of the visit to Saudi Arabia is to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries, with a focus on organizing the Hajj pilgrimage and exploring potential strategic partnerships. The main goal is to further enhance the relationship between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, fostering mutual understanding and collaboration for the benefit of both nations. President Prabowo’s visit is a significant step towards solidifying ties and opening up opportunities for cooperation between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia in various sectors.
