President Prabowo Subianto of the Republic of Indonesia embarked on a journey to Bandung, West Java, via the Whoosh high-speed train, accompanied by members of the public from Halim Station in Jakarta. Arriving at the station around 7:45 p.m., President Prabowo, donning a cream-colored outfit with a matching jacket and navy blue cap, seamlessly merged with fellow passengers as he scanned his boarding card at the ticket gate and proceeded up the escalator to the platform. His presence elicited surprise and excitement among commuters, who eagerly waved and interacted with him as he made his way to the platform. Before boarding the train, President Prabowo graciously posed for photos with the Whoosh crew. The high-speed train departed promptly at 8:00 p.m. for Tegalluar Station in Bandung.
President Prabowo is slated to inaugurate the 2025 Indonesian Convention on Science, Technology, and Industry (KSTI) at the Sabuga, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), from August 7 to 9. He will deliver the keynote address at the convention, alongside distinguished guests such as Nobel Laureate Konstantin Novoselov and Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto. With the overarching theme of “Economic Growth and Equity Through Mastery of Science and Technology,” KSTI 2025 is positioned as a pivotal strategic platform on both the national and international levels.
