Prabowo Subianto, Indonesian Minister of Defense and President-elect for 2024-2029, appeared healthy and fit during a meeting with President Joko Widodo at the State Palace in Jakarta. He even joked around, showing a silat martial arts pose and jogging lightly while interacting with the media, who asked about his health post recent leg surgery.
This visit to the State Palace was Prabowo’s third public appearance in good health since his operation at the National Defense Central Hospital (RSPPN) Panglima Besar Soedirman, Jakarta. Prior to this, he had attended the 78th Bhayangkara Day at the National Monument (Monas) on July 1, 2024, and unveiled the Indonesian team’s jersey for the Paris 2024 Olympics in Jakarta on July 5, 2024.
Prabowo also shared a moment on his personal Instagram on June 30, 2024, where he thanked President Jokowi for the moral support and prayers he had received post-surgery. He emphasized that the medical procedure was done for the nation and country, despite the associated risks.
It is evident that Prabowo is back on his feet and fully committed to his duties and responsibilities as both the Minister of Defense and the future President of Indonesia.
