Jakarta, VIVA – Marc Marquez finally won his first victory this season with Ducati. The Gresini Racing rider performed perfectly and successfully became the champion of MotoGP Aragon on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

In the race at the Motorland Circuit, Marquez started from the front after being the fastest in the qualifying session. The Spanish rider immediately dominated and was unbeatable.
As the race went on, Pedro Acosta collided with Jorge Marti at a corner, causing the Pramac rider to go off track. Then Martin overtook Acosta on lap 21, followed by Alex Marquez in fourth place.

Until lap 20, Marquez left Martin far behind with a gap of more than 2 seconds, he led the race alone. On lap 19, Alex Marquez was in third position, leaving Acosta in fourth with a gap of one second.

The competition between Bagnaia and Pedro Acosta for fourth place on lap 13 was quite intense. Until finally, the Ducati Lenovo rider successfully overtook the rookie rider.
Unfortunately Bagnaia and Alex Marquez had to retire after colliding and crashing with 5 laps remaining in the race. Acosta immediately moved up to third place, followed by Brad Binder.
In the end, Marquez emerged as the winner without any disruption from other riders. This is Marquez’s first victory with Ducati, and the first time he has won since the last time he won at the MotoGP Emilia Romagna in 2021.
Marquez truly shone in this series, by winning pole position, winning the sprint race, and becoming the champion in the main race. Meanwhile, the second podium was occupied by Jorge Martin, followed by Acosta in third place.
